Dopamine Friendly Systems

Remote Work

ADHD work from home systems

Remote work gets easier when focus, meetings, breaks, and shutdown all have visible edges.

Working from home can remove office friction, but it can also blur every boundary. Without visible starts and stops, the day can become one long attention leak.

Three home-work supports

01

Use a start cue

Pick one action that means work has begun: headphones on, lamp on, browser profile open, or timer set.

02

Define the focus block

Choose one outcome, one parking place for interruptions, and one stop point before you begin.

03

End meetings with handoffs

Write the owner, next action, date, and return point before the call disappears into memory.

Protect the end of the day

Home-work recovery needs a close-down cue. Park open loops, write the first return point for tomorrow, and create a physical signal that work has stopped.
